Vision Statement Workshop
The vision statement worworkshop facilitated community input setting the direction for the La Porte County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. The Vision statement is a short phrase or paragraph that describes the long-term goals or aspirations for the Bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. The Vision Statement activity gathered key insights into how people are envisioning the plan and plan outcomes.

S.W.O.T Mapping
The SWOT mapping activity is intended to gather an on-the-ground understanding from the community of the existing challenges and opportunities within the bicycle and pedestrian network. The SWOT mapping activity had participants place stickers on a map of La Porte County corresponding with a Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, or Threat within the Bicycle and Pedestrian network. The results are depicted below with a digital version coming soon.

Strengths
- Ability to connect to transcontinental trails
- Connect with Great American Rail Trail, USBR 35, and American Discovery Trail
- Lincoln Trail is a good start toward Red Mill County Park and Patriot Park
Weaknesses

- With industrial development, new utilities, and future housing planning, there will be good opportunities to include trails

- Roads are difficult and unsafe for biking
- Difficult road for biking
- Rails and Large busy highways
